Aesthetic-Specific Guidelines

Morute Webring Guidelines

Morute blends "morbid" + "cute" — think sweet visuals with darker themes, juxtaposition of innocence and decay, pastel horror aesthetics.

What We Look For:

  • Visual, musical, written, etc content embracing the morbid/cute dichotomy
  • Fashion, art, poetry, or blog content fitting the aesthetic
  • Just anyone who has a deep appreciation and love for the dark aesthetic

Not Accepted:

  • Excessively graphic IRL gore
  • Sites that use "morute" purely as a trend without actual content
  • Sites making fun of those who enjoy darker aesthetics or find comfort in them

TraumaCore Webring Guidelines

Traumacore is deeply personal and therapeutic. It centers trauma experiences (particularly childhood trauma) using cute visuals as coping mechanisms.

Community Protection Policy

Based on traumacore community norms, participation by individuals who are not trauma survivors is discouraged. This space exists to provide a safe outlet for survivors, not for aesthetic tourism or fetishization of trauma.

By submitting to the traumacore webring, you affirm that you understand this space's purpose and will respect its boundaries. If you have any questions, or concerns, ask in the email submit form!

If you can't afford a diagnosis, or therapy, we do allow those who have gone through traumatic experiences regardless of diagnostic criteria. As we feel everyone deserves to feel connected. We do not need to know your diagnosis/traumatic history- that is a breach of privacy.

What We Look For:

  • Personal creative expression processing difficult experiences
  • Art, writing, or content using cute visuals to explore healing
  • Understanding that this isn't purely decorative — it serves emotional purpose

Content Warnings Required:

  • Sexual abuse/assault mentions
  • Suicide/self-harm references
  • Severe abuse narratives
  • (Mark clearly on your site for visitor protection)

Not Accepted:

  • Glorification of abuse or self-harm IRL
  • Content exploitative of others' trauma
  • Sites treating traumacore as purely a fashion/trend
  • Accounts making fun of survivors of trauma coping through art

If Your Site Gets Removed

We believe in transparency. If removed, you'll receive an email explaining why. You may appeal once within 30 days at: morbidsurvivors@proton.me
